Colourism in India is alive & thriving like a virus. It is a form of discrimination which stems from the belief that fair skinned people are superior than darker skinned people amongst the same ethic / racial group. It is a belief & practice that has influenced the lives of Indians for generations with regards to job opportunities, social acceptance and even marriage.

I created a series of posters that are strong and direct in regards to Colourism in India.
The posters above developed into a new series where I have used the concept of colour blindness & colour blind tests.
Within the first poster, there is a face. Are you able to see what colour it is? The 'answer' underneath mentions it is a white face. If you can't see the white face that means you are colour blind.
Within the second poster, there is a face again. Now are you able to see what colour it is? The 'answer' underneath mentions it is a dark face. If you can't see the dark face that means you are colour blind.
The final poster depicts both the faces united as one. The idea of this series was to make people think that maybe they actually are colour blind & the fact that they should remain that way.
